Dear Camp Families:
We extend a warm “Welcome” to our returning camp families for Summer 2023 and to the new camp families joining us for the first time.
It is with great excitement that we are once again able to open our camp doors for your family. We pride ourselves on the fact that we have remained open during the most uncertain times all while providing a safe, fun filled summer full of laughter and memories.
We are extremely conscious of safety here at Old Westbury Summer Camp. We will continue to follow all protocols necessary to ensure the safety of our campers.
The Old Westbury Summer Camp (OWSC) started twenty-two summers ago. Since then thousands of children have enrolled enjoying fun-filled summers, experiencing familiar and not so familiar games and activities, making new friends along the way. Our campus has a heated outdoor pool in which our Aquatics Director/Water Safety Instructor oversees the Red Cross Swim lessons administered by Certified Red Cross Lifeguards. Our campers dip back in the pool for a second “just for the fun of it” swim, playing games with the lifeguards. Our on premise tennis courts, large fields, and air conditioned building allows for all activities to take place on our grounds.
We encourage all campers to try new things because we know the value of a challenge. All of us want to grow in big and small ways, and we strive to assist all campers to do so. At OWSC, we understand the importance of keeping parents informed and in touch. We keep our parents updated via email of our fun activities, along with the posting of pictures each day on our Facebook and Instagram pages. The pictures alone will show the wonderful day we had.
Our campers experience great programs in the arts using different mediums, crazy science experiments, arts & crafts, along with professional instruction in age appropriate sports classes and workshops. We are always striving to offer fun and challenging programs to peak the interest of this age group.
We look forward to a wonderful summer with your children.
Sincerely,
Christine Flanagan, Director
